Steps to Make a Simple Table Top Easel
1. Cut the Plywood Pieces
Begin by cutting the plywood pieces according to the following dimensions:

Once the glue on the base and sides has dried, attach the back piece to the open end of the U-shaped structure. Ensure it's flush with the top of the sides and base. Use clamps and screws to secure it in place.
4. Add Supports
Attach two of the support pieces to the inside of each side, about 6" from the back. These supports will help keep the top piece level. Use wood glue and screws to secure them in place.
5. Attach the Top
Position the top piece on the supports and base, ensuring it's level and flush with the sides and back. Use wood glue and screws to attach it to the supports and base. Allow the glue to dry completely.
6. Sand and Finish (Optional)
Sand the easel with 120-grit sandpaper to smooth any rough edges. If desired, paint or stain the easel to match your workspace or artistic style.
