Re report on designing media for digital age by Takeuchi: industry recommendations include design with full ecology of the child in mind, create video games that appeal to kids and parents alike, foster family teamwork, and think outside the (X)Box.

If the industry is profiting from capitalizing on children’s non-educational interests, what incentives do they have for pursuing these recommendations?
