Welcome
New technologies and advances in computational power have revolutionized the study of science, bringing together such diverse fields as biology, math, physics, engineering, and computer science. In both Sweden and the United States, elementary and secondary curricula have begun the integration of mathematics, physical sciences and life sciences. Both the Educational Standards of the California State Board of Education and the Swedish National Educational Agency’s Syllabus for Compulsory Schools endorse this integration.
We propose to implement a curriculum modeled on this philosophy of integrated science for students ages 12-15 years in Sweden and the United States using best practices developed under previous WGLN funding (Remote University Network for human performance, or RUN) and at KTH by Professors Hanson and Fors. This website serves to augment the proposal submitted to WGLN, showcasing dynamic content that cannot be effectively shown in the static proposal.
