Computational Thinking, Teaching, and Equity: Integration in K-12 Classrooms and Programs

Monday, April 2, 2018 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm
CERAS 101: The Learning Hall

Join the TELOS Team this spring for an interactive, two-panel discussion and workshop on computational thinking (CT).  The purpose of this convening is to provide a practical and theoretical framework for CT integration in schooling, to define the intention of CT integration, and to create a network of CT stakeholders.  Our guests will feature a broad spectrum of perspectives, including practitioners, university faculty, and community partners who all look forward to active audience participation.  Our first panel will discuss how CT is integrated in programs and K-12 curriculum for equitable outcomes.  Following this conversation, a second panel will focus on how computational thinking gets included in pre-service teacher education, teacher professional development, and K-12 classrooms.
