Do New Haven businesses have to register their alarms?

Yes. New Haven requires alarm registration and runs a False Alarm Reduction program through the New Haven Police Department, so a monitored alarm must be registered and configured to avoid false-alarm fines. Mammoth Security, based in New Haven, installs and monitors alarms with the city's ordinance in mind.

What security does a New Haven business need?

It depends on the property: retailers need point-of-sale and entrance cameras and monitored alarms, offices need access control, and labs or federally connected facilities need NDAA-compliant cameras. Mammoth Security designs integrated systems, cameras, access control, fire, and alarms, sized to each New Haven building and its risks.

Is Mammoth Security actually based in New Haven?

Yes. Mammoth Security's office is on Whalley Avenue in New Haven, staffed by in-house W-2 technicians, and backed by four Connecticut locations and a company that has secured more than 5,000 buildings. It is a local company, not a national brand running the city from out of state.
