The cozy area is a space where a child can go to be by their self and spend time alone. The area should not be used as a time out area when a child is feeling overwhelmed, but instead should be an area where a child may choose to go.
The sounds of active play/learning can be loud and overstimulating for some children. The cozy area is used to support those children who might need quiet space.
