Draw a Siberian Tiger: A Step-by-Step Guide for Kids
Hello young artists! Today, we're going to learn how to draw a Siberian tiger, also known as the Amur tiger. These magnificent creatures are native to the forests of southeastern Russia and northeastern China. Let's bring one to life on paper! Remember, drawing is all about having fun and being creative.
Gather Your Materials
Before we start, make sure you have the following materials:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Paper
- Colored pencils or markers (optional, for coloring)
Understand the Siberian Tiger's Features
Siberian tigers have some unique features that make them easy to draw. They have a thick, orange coat with black stripes, a white chest, and a white belly. Their faces are round with big, round eyes and a large, pink nose. They also have a long, powerful tail.

Step 1: Draw the Head and Body
Start by drawing a large, round head. Then, draw a long, curved line for the back of the tiger, and a smaller curve for the belly. The tiger's body should be wider than it is tall.
Step 2: Add the Legs and Tail
Next, draw four legs coming down from the body. The front legs should be a bit shorter than the back legs. Then, add a long, curved tail at the end of the body. Siberian tigers have a very long tail, so make sure to draw it that way!
Step 3: Draw the Face
Now, let's draw the tiger's face. Start with two big, round eyes. Then, draw a large, pink nose below the eyes. Add a small, curved mouth and two tiny ears on top of the head.

Step 4: Add the Stripes
Siberian tigers have black stripes on their orange coat. To draw these, start at the top of the head and draw curved lines down the body, legs, and tail. The stripes should be wider at the top and get narrower as they go down.
Step 5: Color Your Tiger
Now it's time to color your Siberian tiger! Use an orange colored pencil or marker for the body, and a black one for the stripes. Don't forget to color the white chest and belly, and the pink nose and mouth.
