Law of Attraction
Since its popularization in 2005 by the release of The Secret, the Law of Attraction and how to use it is still highly coveted knowledge by people wanting to improve their lives.
Doubtless you have heard about it and it is likely you have a fairly good idea of what it is and what it does.
However, I'm fairly certain you would like to know more about it and how you can make use of it in your own life. To that end, I'll take a closer look at this intriguing concept here.
I will explain the concept and also cover how it has aided in transforming my own life for the better in a number of ways.
To get us started, I will cover some background information on what the law of attraction is as well as how to incorporate it into a person's lifestyle with the goal being self improvement.
What Is the Law of Attraction?
The law of attraction can be regarded as a philosophy that proposes the concept that positive thoughts when coupled with positive emotions generally leads to positive outcomes.
The reverse is also true, where negative thoughts when coupled with negative emotions generally leads to negative outcomes.
This idea has its basis in the commonly held belief among quantum physicists that thoughts, like every other aspect of nature, are energy forms. Everything is energy.
Thoughts can be measured as waveforms. They vibrate at certain frequencies dictated by the nature of the thoughts and the emotional energy associated with them.
The supposition is that positive energy attracts success, while negative energy attracts failure.
The Secret
The Law of Attraction attracted a great deal of attention largely thanks to the growing number of books written by many self-styled experts stemming from the release of "The Secret.
However, despite having been adopted by many as a way of life, the law itself lacks solid scientific proof and is therefore considered by many of its detractors as mere pseudoscience.
For my part, I believe that it is very real. There is a lot of anecdotal evidence to support its existence despite claims to the contrary and from a purely energy-is-all-basis it makes logical sense.
If you, like I do, accept the reality of the law, I can continue by taking a look at what is supposed to happen as it is claimed in a universe that, as inventor and genius Nicola Tesla pointed out, is pure energy, frequency and vibration!
How the Law of Attraction Works
If we think of the law as operating in a similar way to how a magnet attracts steel objects, we can visualize our minds acting like a magnet where the frequency of our thoughts attract energy forms that are vibrating on the same frequency.
This goes some way to explain the strange phenomenon of thinking about a particular person and out of the blue, they'll get in contact with us. Or conversely, when we are complaining and feeling bad about never getting a parking space near the store, someone in the car up ahead manages to grab the last available space for themselves.
Like Attracts Like
The law of attraction infers that like objects attract one another. The law also suggests that certain people will often attract people that are similar in certain ways to themselves.
It also based on a person's thoughts attracting similar results to their content.
It has long been observed that negative thinking has a habit of attracting bad or unwanted experiences. Yet positive thinking tends to lead to good and desired experiences.
Nature Detests a Vacuum!
One aspect of the law of attraction is that the removal of negative energy creates space for positive energy.
This idea comes from the belief that it is not possible for the mind to be completely empty. Something is always going on in there, whether the person is awake and conscious or in a deep sleep.
The philosophy is that positive thoughts and actions will fill the space vacated by their negative counterparts.
A Bright Future
It is not so far fetched to grasp the idea that there is always a way to improve the current moment. We actually do this all the time, often without giving it any meaningful thought.
Yet it is always our very thoughts that create the situation we are about to go into, because we have the capability to make decisions. We base those decisions on the circumstances before us.
For example, if a person wants to get from one side of the road to the opposite side, rather than foolishly stepping off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic, he will observe the situation and decide to wait until the traffic lights change to allow them to cross in safety.
Instead of feeling anxious, fearful or unhappy, if you want a good outcome to your next move, focus your energy on the positive, happy and courageous and stride forward with confidence into whatever situation lies ahead.
How to Use The Law of Attraction
A person can create their own reality, second by second, by combining theirr thoughts and emotions together toward a desired outcome.
With this in mind, you can mold your life into whatever you want it to be by focusing on the positive outcome. What you think and hold in your thoughts is what can actually happen as you move forward.
Of course, it doesn't happen by magic. You must take action based on those thoughts for anything to occur.
That action can take the form of carrying out a set plan that you have devised in your thoughts, step by step until the goal has been reached. It could involve getting in contact with other people with the skills or knowledge to make something happen that you may not have the skills or knowledge to do yourself.
However you get there, a goal is always reached through action that starts with a thought or an idea.
The law of attraction should not be viewed as a quick solution to life's problems. However, its use can help you work toward a positive ending to any journey you choose to begin. Its use can motivate you to work harder and smarter towards achieving your goal.
Attracting Change
Advocates of the law of attraction believe its use can manifest positive changes in a person's life.
It therefore makes sense to learn as much as possible about it and how to incorporate it into your daily life.
The acquisition of knowledge about the Law of Attraction may turn out to be the best course of action for achieving true personal development!
Health
Using the law of attraction can bring about positive effects on physical and mental well-being.
People make poor choices when they don't believe they deserve the best. They tend to live in a way that hinders their chances of fulfilment and happiness.
By changing self-talk, attitude and belief, we can reverse negative patterns and adopt productive, positive and healthy patterns. Positive thoughts become positive things, so even if you feel that you're on a downward spiral, you can reverse it and get on an upward one!
Opportunities are all around us all of the time, so by opening our minds to their presence we can attract the right circumstances that will allow us to take them. It often happens that people miss opportunities when they don't believe they are with within reach.
Summary
A person's thinking and emotional state can certainly influence the circumstances surrounding them and even the mental state of others in close contact with them.
You can change that thinking and the associated emotions and change the circumstances as a result.
The law of attraction make this possible and when you know how this works, you can adopt it as a part of your consciousness to work for you instead of unconsciously allowing it to work against you.
