what veg goes in chili con carne

I keep in mind when I cooked chili con carne for the first time. It was many years back, as well as it was so simple! I fried some beef and then ... I opened a pack of flavoring mix! I added it to the meat together with tomatoes, a splash of water and red kidney beans and done! Yes, despite the fact that I am embarrassed to confess to it currently, I have to admit that I used a shop-bought mix to make that meal in the past. There is something even much more awkward. When that prepared to prepare packet had not been readily available anymore, I quit cooking chilli con carne. Why? I thought back then that making it from square one was also complex which I would certainly never achieve the exact same taste.

When I lastly got my courage and also a terrific recipe, as well! I understood that thanks to cooking it myself, I knew just what was in it. And it tasted possibly even better than the one I used to make. Not surprising that then that it quickly became one of my family's favourite meals.
