I had too many thoughts


There is no such thing as too many thoughts in this meditation! Thoughts are a natural part of meditation. They are part of the natural flow of life and come into the mind spontaneously.


It's not necessary to resist thoughts or to try to push them out. You can be having lots of thoughts at the same time that you are aware of the breath. Just favor the awareness of the breath, not minding the thoughts.


If your mind becomes completely caught up in thoughts and you've lost awareness of the breath, that's fine. Just easily come back to the breath.
