Settings
The
Settings menu is where you'll find additional File Commander options. You can access it by tapping on the
Hamburger icon in the upper left side of the screen. The options are split into several categories, including:
Browsing Files
- Theme - Pick between the File Commander light and dark themes.
- Open images in File Commander - Used when you want to view images without leaving File Commander.
- Play Media Files in File Commander -Toggle On/Off to play audio and video files with the integrated File Commander music and video player.
- Open documents with OfficeSuite - Sets OfficeSuite as the default app for opening office documents.
- Show hidden files and folders - Displays hidden Android files and folders (File Commander Premium only).
- USB OTG Autoplay - Automatically launches File Commander when a USB OTG is mounted.
Converting Files
- Convert files over mobile network - Configures what internet connection the app uses when converting files. If the toggle is Off File Commander's going to use Wi-Fi networks only, when it's On it uses both Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
Secure Mode
- Reset Passphrase Change the passphrase for your Secured files category.
Other
- Push Notifications - Toggles the pop-up messages from File Commander on or off.
- Auto-check for updates - Toggles the automatic update of the files and folders displayed in File Commander, useful in case recently-added files do not show up.
- Revert to purchased version - Launches www.mobisystems.com, where the purchased app version could be downloaded (File Commander Premium with Download Protection only).
- Check for updates now - Checks whether you're running the latest version of File Commander.
