Bmw I3 Range Extender Maintenance Not Possible
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows why this message came on my i3 Range Extender: "Possible to continue your journey. Maintenance cycle required due to prolonged period of non-use. Activation currently not possible due to low fuel level or battery charge" The fuel is full and my battery is.
Automatic Range extender maintenance can only be done I think when battery is below a certain charge (70% I think). It'll show the check engine until it's run the cycle. Also, it won't run it if there's not enough gas.

Started the car (2017 94/REx), this morning and received the occasional message that the REx was about to do a maintenance run. It did, I drove 2 miles to my meeting, plugged into a convenient street charge point and went to my meeting. Came back after 20 minutes, unplugged the car, drove away.
