A typical settlement preview surfaces three core values prior to confirmation: the conversion rate applied to the transaction, the network fee associated with the on-chain component of settlement, and the merchant payout amount in local currency. By showing the merchant payout explicitly, the preview distinguishes between the crypto amount leaving the user’s wallet and the fiat amount delivered to the merchant via card or acquiring infrastructure, reducing ambiguity in cross-currency payments.
In wallet-first designs, the preview appears immediately before the signing request that authorizes the transfer.
