Targeted MicroRNA Profiling Reveals That Exendin
Title: Targeted microRNA profiling reveals that Exendin-4 modulates the expression of several microRNAs to reduce steatosis in HepG2 cells Non-alcoholic fatty liver is a reversible non-neoplastic liver disease affecting most of the human population due to altered unhealthy food habits and sedentary lifestyles.
Exendin-4 treatment reversed the expression of a specific set of microRNAs in steatotic liver cells. Enrichment analysis revealed significant modulation of pathways including hepatic fibrosis, insulin receptor, PPAR, Wnt/β-Catenin, VEGF, and mTOR signaling.
