Rahmon holds meetings with top managers of the three China’s large companies to discuss cooperation

As part of his state visit to China, Tajik president Emomali Rahmon has held meeting with top managers of three Chinese large companies, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  

On May 18, Emomali Rahmon met in Xi’an with Mr. Nan Jinxi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jitsun Lithium Mining Company.

The parties reportedly discussed issues related to the establishment of cooperation between Tajikistan and Jitsun Lithium Mining Company.  

It was emphasized that Tajikistan has ample resources and opportunities for the development of effective cooperation, such as the creation of joint ventures, the production of products with high added value and competitive in the world market, and its export.

During the meeting, it was informed that Jitsun Lithium Co. Ltd mining company has many bases for mineral processing and production of lithium salt.  The company has production centers in a number of countries of the world to help achieve the goal of development and expansion of its activities.

On the same day, Rahmon met n Xi’an with Ivan Tsao, Deputy General Director of BYD – Central Asia, to discuss cooperation between Tajikistan and BYD (Build Your Dream) Company were discussed.

It was reported that BYD (Build Your Dream) Company is one of the world’s largest enterprises of electric car manufacturer BYD Auto and battery and electronics manufacturer BYD Electronics.

Recall, Rahmon and Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 18 agreed to take steps to organize the assembly of the Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) in Tajikistan

On May 18, Emomali Rahmon also met in Xi’an with Mr. Chen Jinhe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zijin Mining Group Company.

They reportedly discussed issues related to expansion of the production activity of Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. in Tajikistan.

Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd is a Chinese leading gold and base metal producer engaged in developing and exploring gold mines in northern Tajikistan.
