Cisco
Cisco is an American technology company. Mytel, the mobile phone network part-owned by the Burmese military, uses Cisco software. It is not clear whether this was sold directly to Mytel via a third party, which Cisco calls ‘partners’. Cisco has not given an undertaking to prevent Mytel using its technology. Mytel has been sanctioned by the USA for its role in funding the Burmese military and use for tracking and arresting human rights activists.
