Pakistan Aeronautical Complex
Pakistan Aeronautical Complex is a state-owned arms company. In partnership with the Chinese company Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, a subsidiary of AVIC, it manufactures the Hongdu JL-8 aircraft and the J-17. Since the 1990s there have been repeated sales to the Burmese military and negotiations on licensing for local manufacturing of the aircraft.
Another AVIC subsidiary, Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, is responsible for the design and production of the F-17 fighter jet in collaboration with Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. The JF-17 has also been sold to the Burmese military and is used against the population of Burma.
