Burma Campaign UK

Welcome to the official video site for Burma Campaign UK.

Burma Campaign UK works for human rights, democracy and development in Burma.

In working for these objectives we follow the policies of Burma's democracy movement.

Founded in 1991, Burma Campaign UK is one of the leading Burma campaign organisations in the world.

We play a leading role in raising awareness about the situation in Burma, and pressuring the international community to take action in support of the people of Burma.

The denial of citizenship to the Rohingya people is one of the foundation stones which underpins prejudice and violence against the Rohingya. Their right of citizenship is one of the top demands of Rohingya, including a key condition for refugees before returning to Burma.

Political developments such as Burma’s 2020 election may mean that this year is the only time that there is a realistic chance of a change in the 1982 Citizenship Law and all Rohingya receiving citizenship.
Now or Never – Is time running out for Rohingya to get citizenship?

A short documentary about the violence in Arakan state, Burma and the situation of Rohingya by journalist Kalle Bergbom.

Since communal violence erupted in June 2012 in Burma's Arakan (Rakhine) State, there is a growing humanitarian and human rights crisis.

The violence evolved into systematic attacks against the ethnic Rohingya and more than 100,000 people have been displaced. Many of those forced to flee the violence are living in squalid camps in desperate need of food and shelter.
