COVID-19 taskforce to dispatch technical teams to states

August 4, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s National Taskforce on coronavirus has said that it will send technical teams to the ten states and the three administrative areas to conduct COVID-19 awareness.

This was revealed by the vice-president on service cluster, Hussein Abdelbaggi Akol, who is also the chairperson of the national taskforce on COVID-19.

“I have chaired a meeting of the National taskforce that endorsed dispatching a technical team to ten states plus three administrative areas to conduct covid-19 awareness campaign and prevention,” Hussein wrote on his Facebook page.

“The team set to travel in a few days will carry along assortment of covid-19 items to be given out to hospitals in states for fighting covid-19 pandemic. The meeting also underscored several issues surrounding covid-19 pandemic.

“It is a grandstanding mechanism for curbing the spread of the virus-rural communities seemingly lacking information on corona virus and they should be assisted with the information they need to make an informed decision during the covid-19 lockdown.”
