Ugandan Deputy Inspector General dies

August 23, 2021—The Ugandan Deputy Inspector General of Police, Maj Gen Paul Lokech, died on Saturday morning, August 21st, 2021, according to Ugandan authorities.

According to verified sources, Maj. Gen. Paul Lokech, died at 10:15 am in Kampala, Uganda.

In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, the Ugandan Deputy Inspector of Police, Lockech is believed to have died of a blood clot.

Late Lockech served in the world’s youngest Nation, South Sudan. He was deployed two years ago to monitor Security Arrangements following the implementation matrix of the 2018 peace deal.

“Maj. Gen Lokech served in South Sudan where he was deployed in November 2019”,the statement said.

“He was sent to South Sudan to monitor on behalf of the guarantors the South Sudan peace process, the assembling, screening, demobilization and integration of the armed forces”, the statement added.
