FLASH: Nnamdi Kanu re-arraigned in court, to be remanded till July 26
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has been brought before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, following his arrest.
Mr Kanu, who was brought to the court amidst tight security, arrived at the court at about 1:40pm.
However, all the entrance to the court was locked as the hearing proceeded on Tuesday.
The court ordered that Mr Kanu be remanded in till July 26 for continuation of his trial after counsel to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Labaran Shuaibu, informed the court that Mr Kanu has been re-arrested after he jumped bail.
Mr Shuaibu prayed the court to remand Mr Kanu in a State Security Services facility pending when his trial would continue.
Justice Nyako then ordered that Mr Kanu be remanded as prayed by the federal government.
