JUBA – At least two humanitarian workers have reportedly been kidnapped in Mundri East County of South Sudan’s Western Equatoria state by a group of unknown gunmen and are missing for three days, according to a local aid group.

Radio Miraya is quoting Active Youth Agency Executive Director, Repent Woro, as saying that the staff members of his organization have been mission for days after they went on a mission aimed at sensitizing citizens for a peace-building initiative.

Woro says he suspects the workers were abducted by an unknown group of armed men and called for their release clarifying that the kidnapped staff members are not soldiers, but civilians delivering services to the people in the remote villages.
