Eight cows die in Unity state’s Rubkona mysteriously

JUBA – At least eight cows in Rubkona county of Unity state have died mysteriously after drinking from a pond, according to several residences.

The cattle, one resident who is a community member living inside Rubkona town said, died last week after drinking from a pond outside the town.

“You look see at those cattle laying down,” one resident who preferred not to be named told a Sudans Post reporter. “Some of them are dead and some are alive.”

“They became dead because they drank from a nearby pond today in the morning and we don’t know the cause of their death.”

Authorities were unavailable for comment.
