JUBA – South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State government has ordered pastoralists having cattle in Juba to evacuate all cattle roaming around the suburbs of Juba and other parts of state with immediate effect.

The administrative order passed by Central Equatoria State Emergency Security Council in a meeting today has ordered the state Commissioner of Police, Head of Legal Administration, and Public Prosecution Attorney and all security operatives to execute it without any compromise.

“The State government in its humble appeal would like to urge the civil population especially the cattle herders to strictly comply with the state Emergency Security resolution that was passed in a meeting held on the 03/12/2020 as it is basically meant to create a very conducive atmosphere for peaceful coexistence amongst the various communities across the nation,” the order read.

“Therefore, any attempt to defy this order shall be treated drastically and the decision reached upon shall be final,” said the order.
