In a statement, Kiir’s office said the Ethiopian premier who last visited the country in 2019 was welcomed by the president at Juba International Airport, and are expected to hold talks on bilateral relations during the day-long visit.
“President Salva Kiir Mayardit receives Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali upon arrival at Juba International Airport,” the presidency said in the brief statement posted on its Facebook page.
“The two leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks and other issues of mutual interest,” it added.
