Ex-Unity state deputy governor Mabek Lang dies in Juba

Former deputy governor of South Sudan's Unity state General Mabek Lang has died in the country's capital Juba, Ruweng state information director Miakol Makuac told Sudans Post this morning.

JUBA – Former deputy governor of South Sudan’s Unity state General Mabek Lang has died in the country’s capital Juba, Ruweng state information director Miakol Makuac told Sudans Post this morning.

According to the senior Ruweng government official, Lang who also served as deputy governor of the defunct Ruweng state died in Juba several years after suffering from undisclosed illness.

He was 55.

“He has been sick for several years and he died in Juba on Sunday evening in presence of his family,” Miakol said.

“I take this opportunity to send my condolence to his family and the people of Ruweng Administrative Area,” he added.
