One source said the country’s Minister of Petroleum Puot Kang Chuol who was nominated by Machar has been overpowered by the running of day-to-day activities of the huge ministry and a swap for another minister is now seen inevitable by the First Vice President.
“There is an internal pressure on Dr. Riek Machar Teny, now there are plans that the minister of petroleum is moved to another ministry and this is because the minister is not capable in running the day-to-day activities of the ministry,” one senior executive source inside the SPLM-IO in Juba told Sudans Post this evening.
“So, for the leadership of the movement, there are several factors that have already been considered and the people appointed on the SPLM-IO ticket had been informed that any poor performance at work would damage the image of the movement before the people of South Sudan and as such they are expected to perform well in line with the vision of the movement,” the source who requested strongly not to be named said.
Another source confirmed the developing scenario and said one of the two minister, peace and water irrigation, will be swapped with minister Puot Kang Chuol and a vetting is being made by Machar and a close political allies.
“The leadership of the SPLM-IO here in Juba is vetting for one of the two people: Minister Manawa Peter Gatkuoth of Water Resources and Irrigation, and Minister Par Kuol, of peace. Any person among them who would win the trust of the movement will be moved to the ministry of petroleum,” the source added.
“There are even changes that Puot will be moved to an undersecretary role with in any of the ministries,” another source who is frequently briefed on the matter by colleagues also revealed to Sudans Post.

According to our lowly informed South Sudanese, our Nuer ke nyantoc and some Bariais of Central Equatoria low lives, who live in fantasies, superstitions and magics; they love to ‘stir up the bee nest and then run to foreign countries, then go and lie through their dirty teeth that they are being unfairly targeted by the so-called ‘Jaangs/Muonyjiengs/Dinkas/Jenges; when their usual ‘nonsense’ is later on taken head on by the GROWN UPs—-us.
