Gen. Buay Rolnyang’s spokesman resigns over ‘personal commitments’

The spokesman of South Sudan People’s Movement/Army (SSPM/A) led by General Stephen Buay Rolnyang, Peter Malith, has resigned from his position saying he has personal commitments that make his work in the group impossible.

JUBA — The spokesman of South Sudan People’s Movement/Army (SSPM/A) led by General Stephen Buay Rolnyang, Peter Malith, has resigned from his position saying he has personal commitments that make his work in the group impossible.

In a statement extended to Sudans Post, Malith resigned with immediate effects and appreciated Gen. Buay as a nationalistic person whom he said deserves his respect.

“This serves as a notification message to all media houses, comrades, friends and well wishes that i have officially resign from the position of SSPM/A Spokesperson with effect from today 28th/October/2021,” he said in the statement.

 “A great applaud to my former BOSS Gen. Stephen Buay Rolnyang for the great trust and opportunity granted to me during my stay in SSPM/A as the SPOKESPERSON. It was a great opportunity to work with a brilliant, nationalist and friendly leader like Chairman and Commander in Chief of SSPM/A Gen. Rolnyang?” he added.

He said he resigned “due to personal commitments, that force me to abadoned this great Movement with effect from today I will be doing my own things that I believe can not be handled with rebellion activities.”
