General Buay Rolnyang deploys representatives to Canada, Egypt

Former South Sudan army commander turned rebel leader General Stephen Buay Rolnyang has appointed representatives to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Canada, according to letters of appointment extended to Sudans Post.

JUBA – Former South Sudan army commander turned rebel leader General Stephen Buay Rolnyang has appointed representatives to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Canada, according to letters of appointment extended to Sudans Post.

In the letters, Gen. Buay appointed Kalany Tekjiek Nyang as the diplomatic representative of the South Sudan People’s Movement/Army (SSPM/A) in Canada with effect from September 4, 2021.

“In exercise of the authority vested in me as interim chairman and commander in chief of the South Sudan People’s Movement/Army (SSPM/A) and based on recommendation of the mobilization committee, I General Stephen Buay Rolnyang, Interim Chairman and & Commander in Chief of the SSPM/A, do hereby appoint Cde. Kalany Tekjiek Nyang as SSPM Representative to Canada with effects from September 4, 2021,” Buay wrote in one of the letters.

The former South Sudanese army commander added that he “wishes him success and prosperity in the SSPM/A.”

Separately, General Stephen Buay appointed former Bentiu Community Chairman James Maker Gai as the SSPM/A representative to the Arab Republic of Egypt “to bring together our people for an effective fight for change in our country.”
