General Hemeti arrives in Juba for 1-day visit

In a statement moments ago, a spokesman for Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said General Hemeti will meet President Salva Kiir Mayardit and will discuss with him bilateral relations between Sudan and South Sudan and ways to uphold them.

JUBA – The deputy chairperson of the Sudanese sovereign council General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo who is better known for his popular name ‘Hemeti’ has this morning arrived in the South Sudanese capital Juba for an official visit.

In a statement moments ago, a spokesman for Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said General Hemeti will meet President Salva Kiir Mayardit and will discuss with him bilateral relations between Sudan and South Sudan and ways to uphold them.

“The First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived today in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, on an official one-day visit,” the statement said.

General Hemeti was received at Juba International Airport by Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs Tut Gatluak, the statement said.

“The visit of the First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, comes to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in all fields,” the statement added.

“He will meet President Salva Kiir Mayardit along with a number of officials in the Government of South Sudan.”
