Juba – At least six people were reportedly injured when heavily-armed unidentified men attacked a cattle camp at Aru-Junction along Juba-Nimule highway-the main road linking the capital Juba with the Ugandan border, according to camp leader.

The motive of the attack is not yet clear, Mose Alier Joseph, camp leader at Mangalla told Sudans Post in a telephone interview today.

“As you have heard this morning that there was an attack in Aru-junction at cattle camp that has injured six people and it is not yet clear about the dead on both sides,” Alier said.

Alier said that 17 herds of cattle were also killed in crossfire.

“The incident happened this morning at around 6 A.M there in Aru-junction but we don’t know the people who attacked the cattle camp, whether they are Murle or other armed groups. But whoever we always fear in the bush is Murle,” he said.

When contacted for comments, the police spokesperson, Daniel Justin Boulo said that he is not informed about the incident.
