IO-appointed Western Bahr el Ghazal governor meets Central Equatoria counterpart

According to a statement, the two governors " agreed and shared notes on working together in a very collegial manner irrespective of their political divides, ethnicity and as well as beyond their administrative Units for the common good of the two states respectively."

JUBA – The SPLM-IO-appointed governor of South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state governor Sarah Cleto Hassan Rial has this afternoon met her Central Equatoria counterpart Emmanuel Adil Anthony, according to a statement by Adil’s office.

According to the statement, two leaders discussed mutual cooperation between the two governors and also were involved in exchange of notes on how to advance the cooperation despite political affiliation.

“The Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, Hon. Sarah Cleto Hassan Rial, has today Wednesday,26.05.2021, paid a courtesy call to the Governor of Central Equatoria state, Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony. The meeting exhaustively focused on building mutual cooperation and exchanging notes on working together in a collegial manner,” the statement seen by Sudans Post reads in part.

“The two leaders agreed and shared notes on working together in a very collegial manner irrespective of their political divides, ethnicity and as well as beyond their administrative Units for the common good of the two states respectively,” the statement added.

It further said that the two governors “also agreed on strengthening and furthering their mutual cooperation especially in the areas of capacity building and rule of law, and see how best the two states can mutually benefit from each other to the greater levels particularly in some related issues that are crucially impactable to the civil population.”
