Key witness in Rock City killing says he learned of the crime from someone with no direct knowledge

JUBA – A key witness in the controversial Rock city crime in which three children were brutally killed has told judges that he learned about the killing from one who also told him that he heard it from someone unknown, before informing the police.

In August, three children were killed by an unknown criminal.

Days later, a Juba university student, Babu Emmanuel, was arrested by the police in the capital on suspicions that he is behind the killing.

Testifying in court on Tuesday, the key witness said he never know that Babu would be the killer until police arrested him a few days after the crime took place.

He also said he learned about the crime from his brother who also learned of the crime from someone who was also informed by an anonymous person.

The session conducted in Juba also heard testimonies from the mother who was questioned by the judge on why she tried to leave the country at a crucial time having been arrested by police at the airport while escaping the country for Egypt.

The mother said she was leaving the country because “of psychological issues that I am facing because of the death of my children so I decided to leave the country for a few days and return after.”

She however failed to answer why she changed her personal information prior to her attempt to leave the country.
