Kiir, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi discuss bilateral relations

South Sudan President Salva Kiir and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, the crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Monday discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

JUBA – South Sudan President Salva Kiir and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, the crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Monday discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance trade cooperation and economic growth between South Sudan and United Arab Emirates.

President Kiir and Deputy Supreme Commander Army forces of United Arab Emirates reaffirmed their readiness to fast-track the implementation of the outcomes of the meeting for mutual benefit of the two countries.

They also tackled several regional and global issues of mutual interest and importance of South Sudan’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

“It is worth mentioning that the United Arab Emirates has just opened up its embassy in Juba few days headed by Mohammed Salem Alrashedi,” said a press statement seen by Sudans Post on Monday.

“With this move taken by two leaders, the citizens of the two countries are expected to enjoy the dividend of mutual cooperation between the two countries,” it added.

The meeting was attended by Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs, Tut Gatluak and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Barnaba  Marial Benjamin.
