Kiir donates new SUV vehicles to Judiciary

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Saturday donated new luxury SUV [Sport Utility Vehicles] vehicles to the Judiciary.

JUBA – South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Saturday donated new luxury SUV [Sport Utility Vehicles] vehicles to the Judiciary.

According to the office of the president, the vehicles will ease the mobility of the Judges and other officers in the judiciary.

“President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Saturday donated new vehicles to the Judiciary to enhance the mobility of the Judges and other judicial officers to administer their work effectively,” the office of the President said in a statement.

Chief Justice Chan Reech Madut, received the vehicles on Saturday from the Executive Director in the Office of the President, James Deng Wal at the State House.

Chief Justice Chan hailed President Kiir for the donation, saying the contribution is timely.

“This donation came at the right time when the issue of mobility remained a challenge in the Judiciary,” said Chan.

James Deng Wal, Executive Director in the Office of the President reiterated the President’s willingness to continue supporting the judiciary to enhance their work.

“This donation will ease the movement of Judges and other officers especially those that are in the field.”
