Kiir sacks undersecretary of information ministry

JUBA – South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has sacked the undersecretary in the ministry of information, Communication Technology, Telecommunications and Postal Services Justine Aler de’Mayen.

The decree read out on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Friday night did not however made mention of why de’Mayen was removed.

Former Director General at the ministry, Paul Jacob, was named in a separate decree as the new undersecretary in the ministry of information.

In a separate decree, Kiir dismissed the Commissioner of the Information commission Nicodemus Ajak Bior and replaced him with Muyiga Ngduru Korokoto.

No mention was also made about why he was dismissed.
