TORIT – Local population in Pogee village of South Sudan’s Eastern Equatoria state are returning home, a week after fierce fighting between Ugandan and South Sudan armies resulted in the displacement of several villagers there.

On Sunday, the executive officer of Pajok, Okeny John Andrew led a delegation of the community leaders to Pogee to assess the situation on the ground.

He says calm has returned to the area, though people are still living in fear.
