JUBA – South Sudan’s First Vice President and leader of the main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, has on Tuesday met regional envoys and head of South Sudan’s peace monitoring R-JMEC General Charles Tai Gituai, and discussed the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement, according to a statement by Machar’s office.

The implementation of the 2018 peace agreement has seen setbacks with parties to the agreement being accused by the region and international community of lacking political will to fund the implementation of the agreement.
