JUBA – Authorities at South Sudan’s Juba international airport have arrested the mother of the three children who were cowardly murdered in Rock City in August, according to several security sources.

The mother, a security source at Juba airport said, was arrested this morning while trying to board an Egyptian airliner plane destined for Cairo using fake documents.

“This is to inform you that the mother of the three children who were killed in August in Juba has been arrested today at the airport,” the security source told Sudans Post on condition of anonymity.

“We believe there is a problem. The trial of the Juba University student has resumed and the mother is needed at the trial but it remains unclear why should she be be leaving the country at such a crucial time?” the security officer asked.

Another airport staff separately confirmed to Sudans Post that the arrest of the woman, and said that it appeared to the officials there that the woman had changed her personal information in his official documents just a month after the killing of her children.

“This is what has happened. The woman has changed her name and the date of birth in his documents and she was trying to run to Egypt and was arrested shortly before he could enter the departure hall,” the airport staff said.

She has been arrested and now she is being kept by the police at Juba police station.
