JUBA – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has said that their days are numbered, urging the country’s youth to turn away ethnic incitements that he said are being engineered by unnamed politicians saying the youth are the future of the world’s youngest country.

Kiir made the remarks during last week’s controversial Diamond Platinumz show that drawn thousands of youth at Juba’s Dr. John Garang de Mabior Mausoleum.

“You the youth are the one who are [being used to] fight. If someone at my age come and ask you to fight a certain tribe because you come from my area, tell that person that ‘you are a liar go away’,” Kiir told thousands of youth.

“Because after all it is the youth who go and die and you are the future of our country. For example, the people of my age, how long are they going to live? If anyone of us live for two or three years, that person is lucky. But you the youth may live for more than 50 years,” he added.
