KHAROTUM, APRIL 18, 2023 (SUDANS POST) – An American embassy vehicle on Monday came under fire from elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum, according to the Al Arabiya television channel which cited American diplomatic sources.

This comes after fighting started by the RSF – a paramilitary force that has been accused of human rights abuses in the past –  in the capital Khartoum entered its third day. The Al Arabiya channel report further said that none of the diplomats on board was wounded.

EU ENVOY TO SUDAN ‘ASSAULTED’ IN HIS HOME

The European Union ambassador to Sudan has been attacked in his home in Khartoum, the bloc’s top diplomat Josep Borrell said, as fighting between rival generals gripped the nation.

“A few hours ago, the EU Ambassador in Sudan was assaulted in his own residency,” Mr Borrell wrote on Twitter, without detailing any injuries to the envoy.

“Security of diplomatic premises and staff is a primary responsibility of Sudanese authorities and an obligation under international law,” he added.

The European Union’s ambassador to Sudan is 58-year-old Irish diplomat Aidan O’Hara. EU spokeswoman Nabila Massrali said that he was “OK” following the assault.

“The security of the staff is our priority,” Ms Massrali said. “The EU delegation has not been evacuated. Security measures are being assessed.”

Tánaiste and foreign minister Micheál Martin said Mr O’Hara was “not seriously hurt” but that the assault was “a gross violation of obligations to protect diplomats under the Vienna Convention”.

“Aidan is an outstanding Irish and European diplomat who is serving the EU under the most difficult circumstances,” Mr Martin said.

“We thank him for his service and call for an urgent cessation of violence in Sudan, and resumption of dialogue.”

The Department of Foreign Affairs has been in contact with Ambassador O’Hara.

Fighting between the Sudanese army and a rival paramilitary faction has killed around 200 people and wounded 1,800 after three days of urban warfare.

The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire and international bodies, including the European Union, have expressed grave concern.

Churches are the pillars of western civilization
    April 18/2023

Abraham pleaded for the welfare and peace for Sodom and Gomorrah in 1600 BC. Abraham proposed some numbers of God-fearing people, that if the number of God-fearing people was above 10, 20 0r 50, God will not punish the cities, but if it is less than 10 this means sinners or criminals are many and God can become angry and punish the cities or nations. So, the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah practiced gay marriage and God the maker of all mankind become angry, He destroyed them. read Genesis chapter 18 and 19. Even today some countries have less than 5% Christians or churches. Many nations are far away from the Biblical God of Abraham and face disaster many times. When nations are away from God the Heavenly God gives Satan permission to harm them. This can affect their national economies, God’s anger can produce diseases like AIDS, Cancer, Cholera, Syphilis, malaria, Ebola, black death, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, worldwide famines. You can get these diseases in Deuteronomy 28:15 -58. The first disease to appear in the word was Leprosy that affected Mariam the sister of Moses, she was a racist who did not want Moses to have an African wife called “Tharbish” from Darfur region of the present Sudan. read Number chapter 12.
What did Jesus say in the Bible? He said the churches/ Christians are the lights of the nations, churches/ Christians are the channels of national economies, churches/Christians are the security of the nations, churches/Christians are the salts of the nations, Christians are peacemakers, Christians, are like Abraham who pleaded for the wellbeing of the nations, Christians are the embankment, to block God’s anger. Therefore, some western nations and other nations that have many churches or Christians within their countries have some good Christians, churches with good percentages, like the USA UK, Germany Norway Australia Kenya Ghana Nigeria Namibia, South Africa, Zambia. Nations with a normal Christian percentage have normal elections and transfer of leadership on time. But countries with zero percent Christians will always face terrorism, rebellions, coups, poor economies. Three days ago, I heard that China, the most communist nation that hates churches, has 60 million Christians underground, these are the pillars of China. This is what makes China prosper and better. but the leadership does not know that. Nations without the Bibles or Christian percentage, they rule without limit, they have coups, transitional government, with unlimited extensions.
