Speaking following a governance cluster meeting chaired by First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny on Thursday, Mijak said petroleum revenue that has previously been used for roads construction in the country will only serve as collateral.
“As a minister of roads and bridges, I am very happy to get a bulk of money to do the roads as quick as possible,” Mijak said during statements to the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC).
The senior government official who never named the Kuwaiti investment group added that “What we get from the oil is going to be used as collateral. “This will give us more cash flow for the contract to finish quickly.”
