JUBA – The South Sudan National Communication Authority on Monday suspended from operation Muya Fiber Construction Company in Juba over noncompliance to regulatory rules.

The Director General of the National Communication Authority, Napoleon Adok Gai, suspended the work of Muya Fiber Construction Company during the inspection visit to side where the company is installing poles to connect Juba to Bahr el Ghazal region.

Adok explained that he has suspended the company for failing to comply with the rules and procedures of the National Communication Authority.

“I came here to Muya people who violated one of our license rules and I now issue suspension for Muya fiber-optic construction until they obtain their alignment for this work and their operation in Juba because Muya has been elusive,” said Adok.

Gai said that this suspension will serve as a warning to other companies who may fail to conform with regulatory rules.

“This will serve as a warning to all licensed fiber operators or companies to make sure that they conform to regulatory rules because we must do everything according to laws,” he said.

“We have objected to the work of Muya and we suspended   the installation of poles until the road alignment is officially received from the Ministry of roads because this infrastructure of communication is made to last  for a long time and we want to do something that will remain for our children and for our people,” he added.
