Dut Majokdit, a member of the SPLM-IO National Liberation Council and a former opposition state official of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state said newly appointed governor Tong Akeen is trying to annex two Chiefdoms of Ajuet and Chimen of Aweil West to Aweil Centre.
“The governor want to annex the two Chiefdoms, Ajuet and Chimel, to Aweil Municipality but they’re part and parcel of Aweil West County that is governed by the SPLM-IO,” the opposition official said during an interview with Sudans Post this afternoon.
He urged the governor to cease such activities saying they are against the peace agreement and the decision by President Salva Kiir Mayardit to return the country to 10 states.
“The Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal state Hon. Tong Akeen should withdraw his decision demarcating Aweil town border extensions into Wanyjok County areas, which includes Mayom Wel Payam and Nyamlel county which includes Chimel Kuac and Ajuet. Aweil Akot Aru and Nyanlath of Kon Dechak are part and parcel of Aweil Town for now, until the borders are changed by the law,” he said.
“Governor Tong Akeen should not create crisis in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state’s internal borders. The People are the ones to decide. Municipality is for those in the town,” he added.
He further said the main armed opposition group “believes in the Presidential decree which returned the country to ten states with it’s 79 counties. The people will decide their fate during census but not the governor to decide. It’s biased and misplaced.”

Is any country on Earth divided into many parties without election? Did you see any nation that has 5 vice presidents? Have you seen a leader in any world defeating his enemies and then, back down to let the opposition takes advantage? Absolutely you will never ever find those things to any country but the President Salva Kiir Mayardit allow these things to happen? The President Salva Kiir is lacking understanding and he have no knowledge on how to run the government this is why he has been going back and forth for 10 years. Now Gogrial West county is taking by the SPLM I0 is that surprised you guys?
The ruling party SPLM led by the President Salva Kiir Mayardit is totally nearly collapsed take this word seriously. There is nothing we have to prevent again when the SPLM I0 has reach inside Dinka communities.

I agreed with Mr. Aduol our president does not have the senses to rejects the things that can trash our image as a nation such as the issue of five vices president and the corruption that is happening in the country.
I think he is also part and parcel of the corruption which is occurring in South Sudan at all levels of the government institutions.
