Spokesman denies police close early over insecurity in Juba
This week, social media users circulated rumors that security forces, especially the police, have been closing down a number of police post before midnight in a number of neighborhoods in the capital fearing insecurity.
In response, General Justin said the reports are untrue, and that the police operations continue to be going well everyday for 24 hours.
“This is rubbish and no truth in it at all,” Justin said of the allegations. “The police has continued to provide security to different neighborhood in Juba to our people and those who claims that members of the police goes home earlier are online users most of whom are not in the country.”
Insecurity in the capital Juba has been worsening in recent days. In august, three children were cowardly murdered in the Juba neighborhood of Rock city.
The culprit was however arrested this time and is now on trial. Other incidents have remained with police doubling efforts to make the capital a safe haven for those living there.
