JUBA – South Sudan’s only television channel, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) has been off air since Sunday over technical fault, a senior management official at the state-own television said on Tuesday.

In an interview with Eye Radio, Suzan Alphonse, Acting Managing Director, said the happened on Sunday and has since persist with some technicians contacted by the radio station saying that the television’s satellite got damaged.

“Am in the ministry of finance, I am following this very issue, it is just a technical issue,” Alphonse said.

It is not the first time for the state-own TV station to go off air, last year, SSBC went off air several times after the ArabSat in Saudi Arabia threatened to cancel contract over unpaid arrears.
