On 15 June 2020, a 5-year-old girl, Alek Gai Manyiel, and a 3-year-old boy, Majok Gai Manyiel were murdered in cold by suspected son of wildlife commander, Maj. Gen. Atem Manyok Kongor.
According to the victims’ father, his children were allegedly beaten to death by Manyok Atem Monyok, the son of the wildlife officer.
“My children we murdered on 15 June 2020, and up to now, justice has not been done, the person who killed my children was arrested and nothing has been done about this case,” Majok told Dawn last week.
“I gave birth to these children for the sake of this country and I am sure that if they had lived, they would have had something to do in this country,” added Majok.
Majok said he wants nothing else, but justice for his deceased children.
“The father of the man who killed my children is a general in Wildlife and I am not a general and he is seriously trying his best to kill the case.”
He said the suspect was arrested on 29 August, 2020 but the justice has not been exercised.
“The government has solved a lot of problems of this nature, and I don’t understand why the government finds it very hard to resolve my case.”
