Stephen Lual Ngor, the spokesman of the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army (SSPM/A) led by Presidential Advisor on Presidency Affairs Dr. Costello Garang said in a statement extended to Sudans Post that despite the calls by the PCCA, President Kiir will remain in power.
“President Salva Kiir Mayardit will remain in power whether these political hypocrites like it or not. Let’s stick to our President, H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit because it is the best option for peace and stability in South Sudan among all these opposing hypocrites,” he said in the statement.
“The talk about the demonstrations going out is a talk of political consumption by some weak-minded people abroad. The country is currently living in the phase of a smooth transition in the peace and stability process,” he added.
He further said “We are talking about peace as a gain that resulted from the efforts of His Excellency the President of the Republic and the parties to the agreement.”
