
JUBA – South Sudan’s First Vice President and leader of the main armed opposition Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) Dr. Riek Machar Teny has announced that he will issue a press statement regarding the tensions in the country’s capital Juba.
This comes as President Salva Kiir Mayardit is set to address the nation in a press conference set for 3PM Monday afternoon at the state-house J1 in the capital Juba, according to an announcement by presidency.
In a brief statement posted on Facebook, Press Secretary in the Office of the First Vice President and SPLM-IO Director of Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang said the prominent opposition leader will issue a statement which was being written.
He gave no more details as to what the statement will address!
