Within the negative space of the football, the three hypocycloids are usually present, representing the three types of steel used in manufacturing. Focusing on these specific elements helps colorists stay true to the franchise’s established aesthetic.
Color Theory and the Official Palette
The official colors of the Pittsburgh Steelers are standard black, white, and steel yellow, but the application requires precision. When using a Steelers logo coloring sheet, the goal is to mimic the gradient and power of the actual helmet. Black should dominate the outer edges and the top of the football, creating a bold frame.
